OK back to blogging!

I have lots of things coming to the blog. I'm a mom now.. so it is a must right?

And since our wedding a lot has happened.. and we have had a baby!

Dallas and I are married and have been for almost 2 months! Boy how time flies! Lol.

We had an amazing vacation and such a great wedding! It will be a day to remember forever. Everything went soo smoothly! Beaches Resort was amazing and we are soo lucky to have such great family and friends. The weather was BEAUTIFUL. 85 and sunny everyday.

Turks and Caicos is gorg and I have never seen water like that in my life!

Married life is going very well. We are keeping busy and we don't see each other much but we work around it!

Since the wedding has been over, I don't have much to do. So I have been kind of bored and looking for some new activites! I have booked a few vacations in the mean time.. Connecticut in May for my cousins wedding, Denver in July for Scentsy Convention. Disney World with my cousins in December and our anniversary trip to Antigua next february!

Both of our jobs are going well and of course keeping us busy. We work opposite schedules but we do have Sunday and Monday off together.

Our kitty Isis is getting more adventurous by the day! We love her to pieces!

Almost time!

Dallas and I leave 2 weeks from today! I can not believe how quickly the year flew by!! We have 30 guests attending our wedding and we are truly so excited, blessed and happy to have them attending our special day with us. We know everyone else will be there in spirit.

We have done a lot of planning is the last few months... things that could not be planned before we knew how many people we had coming.

We leave for Turks on Sunday January 17th and have a stop in JFK.. then we arrive in Turks and Caicos at 10am Monday morning(the 18th)! My parents will be there Sunday, so it will be just us 4 until thursday when half of our group arrives and everyone else arrives friday!! The big day is Saturday January 23rd @ 4pm.

Dallas and I also have a massage and a candlelit beach honeymoon dinner booked for while we are there. We are also going to go snorkeling and parasailing.. and really relax and enjoy ourselves!

We have a trash the dress shoot scheduled for monday morning. We are really looking forward to venturing the island with our photographer, Ileana, from www.tropicalimaging.com She is going to show us all the secret spots of the island. I also have a special surprise for Dallas, but he wont receive it until after we get back from Turks.

We are also having a Utah reception, Saturday February 27th from 6-10pm at Pierpont Place in Downtown Salt Lake. We are extremely excited to celebrate with everyone from here in State and also expecting some out of towners too!I think that is all for now! I will be sure to post more before we go!Love to all!

Almost Married!

Dallas and I flew back to Connecticut at the end of August for our Almost Married Reception. Dal's brother Riley and his girlfriend (also one of my bridesmaids) also came along!! It was awesome to be taking them on their first plane ride!! We had an AMAZING TIME at our party! And we are pretty sure everyone else did as well. We can not thank our family and friends enough... especially my parents. They do so much for Dallas and I and we truly appreciate it!!!!!!! We love you mom and dad!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!! We can not wait for Turks and Caicos and can not wait to see everyone there!!!!!!!!!! Summer Fun!

Dallas and I have been working a ton. So typically we never have days off together! BUt I started a new shift this week, a full time, 40 hours per week wednesday through saturday 12pm-10pm! And that works out because Dallas has sunday and monday off as well! I was working a ton of hours and sort of had a cooky schedule. So hopefully this will all work out!

Back at the end of June Dallas and I went to widowmaker aka the motorcycle hill climb with some friends and dallas' brother riley! We have a ton of fun there! It is such a blast! We also had a house full for dal's brother Riley's birthday over the weekend of July 10th. We hit up the water park and had a barbeque and also got the UFC fights to watch that night! All in all I can not believe it is August but I am also very excited we are going home in about 3 weeks and can not wait to see everyone and can not wait for our almost married reception! It is going to be a blast!!!!!

Also Scentsy convention is next week and I can barely contain my excitement!!! I have not posted in about a month. A few things have gone on since then!!

I had to fly home unexpectedly on Wednesday May 20th. One of my best friends Rob passed away on Monday May 18th. It was tragic and sudden. You never think its going to be your friend and then it happens and all you can do is sit there and wonder what we could have done to take it back. It was great to go home and see all my friends.. I mean all my friends. The situation sucked but it was nice to have that extra visit. It was also great to see my mom and dad. I also surprised my grandmother who nearly had a heart attack when she realized it was me. I actually had a couple people do triple takes not expecting to see me in CVS or at the mall. LoL.

I have been busy PLANNING PLANNING PLANNING our wedding. I can not get enough of it! I do not want it to end. Which is leading me to thinking about becoming a party planner. Everyone says I should do it, its right up my alley and something I truly love! (I love xray too)

Dallas and I have been spending our mid morning/afternoons together swimming laps in the pool and getting a great tan! We enjoy working out together and pushing each other to strive for what we want. We also have been heading to the track every weekend for dal to get some riding time in on his new dirt bike... he will be famous soon... hehe!

Hagen UPDATE! Hagen was able to go home after 3 weeks in the hospital which is almost record breaking for being born with your intestines on the outside. His cord fell off on Saturday! and he man made belly button looks great. We were able to visit with Giles, Toni, and baby Hagen this past Sunday and Monday. We took Hagen to the pool.. which he HATED. As soon as toni dipped his little toes, he started screaming!!!!!! He does have the funniest cry ever. It is pretty cute, he snorts! It is too cute. But its not because he is blocked up which is funny, its like he is doing it himself. Also he has such a funny quiver lip. You can not help but laugh and love it! But also want to hug and kiss him all over!!

HAGEN UPDATE!

Update: Hagen is having his surgery today @ Primary Children's Medical Hospital. To get rid of the obstruction in the bowel, make him a belly button, and then close him up. This is quicker than they thought and quicker than most babies! We just cant wait to hold and cuddle him.

My nephew and godson was born Thursday April 30th @ 8:18am weighing in at 5 pounds 2 ounces, 17.5 inches long! He is the cutest little thing! Dallas and I are very excited to be godparents! He was born with gastroschisis.. where his little bowel is on the outside. You can see it hanging in the wrapped gauze in the bottom picture. They hang in to get it to fall back into the body. We found out today he will be having his surgery monday. So things are moving VERY quickly. They also were able to take him off his oxygen. We cant wait to hold him!!! And get some kiddie candid photos done!!!!

Well after 4 years of Dallas talking about wanting a dirtbike, I finally said its time lets go get you one! He patiently waited but I knew he wanted one for soo long and he deserves it. Watching his excitement made me feel truly happy inside. He had a moment of panic with the price but we ended up getting an offer we couldnt pass up and he was able to get all the gear, which is the only way he is allowed to ride. I see what people look like when they dont have the gear on and get in an accident and that is just something I wouldnt be able to handle. So we made some rules and he got his dream! Next up my four wheeler! Ha so here are some pictures!

Besides that we are still working and I think mother nature is finally blessing us with Spring so we are enjoying that as well! Tomorrow we are headed out to Rice Eccles stadium to the Super Cross show!Talk about dirt bikes!

Also tomorrow is my uncles memorial dinner, which was suppose to be his birthday celebration but he passed away last friday evening. It still hasnt really hit me and the whole thing is just so weird to me, I feel like I cant put the pieces together. I miss my family and LOVE YOU ALL!!! See you all soon!!!!

Well Dallas and I are all moved into our new townhouse. And we love it. It is very grown up like and perfect for a soon to be married couple.

One of my best friend's, Andrea was here this past weekend... after a long process, airports, airplanes, and high winds in dallas... she finally made it Saturday around 1130am, we headed straight to Costa Vida her fave place to eat and then down to Cummings Chocolates for some good ole' choc. covered GRAPES.. then we headed to Fantasy bridal to find my perfect wedding dress. I told the woman exactly what I was looking for and she seemed ready to work. Lol. The first dress she pulled off the rack I couldn't believe, was nothing that I asked for but I went with it knowing this woman probably had some background in wedding dresses, people and sizes. So I tried on about 15 dresses and liked them all but LOVED two of them. My fave was the one I thought was horrid on the hanger and would have never look good on me and the runner up was one that I had found online.. anywho wouldnt you know I went with the #1 and it is gorgeously stunning!!! But totally me. Ang was very surprised we were only there for 2 and a half hours! After that we went to David's bridal which was a complete 180 from Fantasy.. it was like crazed women running around and simply chaotic. Ang tried on about 24 bridesmaids dresses in a record time of about 22 minutes! It was unbelievable! Anyways I picked out the bridesmaids dresses as well!! Then Sunday we spent in Salt Lake and taking Ang to some great places to eat. MOnday morning came and ang had to leave! BIG bummmer! But We will see her soon!

Dallas is keeping busy at FedEx and me at the University Hospital. Im going to Las Vegas the day after Easter to meet my cousin Cindy and Samantha who are flying out from CT. It will be great to visit and spend time with them!!!

So I havent posted in a while but Dallas and I are moving, so its been hectic around here. I work Fri-Mon and then have Tues-Thurs off, complete opposite schedule from Dal, of course! So its been hard trying to pack everything together.

Anyways the house is in shambles but I made great progress today. I'm cleaning and putting EVERYTHING that can go in the laundry into the laundry! When you move it is a great time to clean and wash everything. Its a new place and I want everything to be nice, so here comes the anal retentiveness. Dallas and I always joke about the damn dishes, he says "I will do them in the new place" lol, I laugh. Anyways here is a picture of our shamble"ness" just part of it!

It will get better, but its hard to go to sleep with a place looking like this!

Dallas and I traveled back to Connecticut last week. My best friend Meghan got married to her high school sweetheart Ricky Markey on Friday January 9th, 2009 (also my 25th birthday!) We arrived home early tuesday morning after taking the red eye flight home. Dallas and I slept most of the day. That night my parents put together a birthday/engagement/ dallas & meagan are home party. We were able to see a lot of our family and friends. The next day the boys (d, seany, & ar bear) had no school due to an ice storm the night before so they invited Dallas over for a play date. I dropped him off and they went snowboarding down their front hill, lol.

Thursday morning Dallas and my dad woke up @5am to go skiing in Vermont... they ended up in Massachusetts, the weather was really bad in Vermont. I started off my day by heading back to St. V's for a check up for my lap band, then to Salon Odette's for my hair appointment. That night was also the rehearsal @ the church and the rehearsal dinner @ Nino's restaurant. Us girls (bridesmaids + honorary bridesmaid) slept over Meghy's that night for one last single girl sleepover. We woke up to Meghan's dad singing in the kitchen, cookng breakfast, and her mom freaking out! Looking back I can not believe how quickly everything went by. Too quickly... but we had soo much fun! The wedding was beautiful and it was so much great to spend the entire day with all of my bestests! We had a great trip!! But wish we had more time to see more family and friends. I was able to spend some extra time with my parents all day Sunday! Here are some pictures. Love to all! Miss you all!!!

On Christmas Eve Dallas presented me with my last gift and it was a big and heavy box. I opened the box to find tons of tissue paper and another box(which were all duct taped closed). I proceeded to open the next box which was also full of tons of tissue paper and when I removed all the stuff the box was full of COAL. I sat there stunned for a moment. I have never received coal ever. Even though my Grandpa Oo Oo used to tease me about it when I was little. So I said "why would you give you me coal?" And Dallas replied with "I thought you said you wanted a rock!" He then proceeded to stand up and pull the ring out of his pocket. He got down on one knee and asked for my hand in marriage. I do not even remember saying yes! Dallas also had spoken with my parents the friday before asking for their permission! We are very happy and Im very happy to be engaged! Love to all!!

Dallas and I traveled to St George to visit his Aunt and Uncle on our way to Vegas for a fun surprise birthday weekend. Dallas and I had a great time in Vegas. We also stayed at the Paris this time, and Dal was even able to get his windows tinted while we were there, they came to us and did an amazing job. I was finally able to meet Dallas' good friends Brad & Shilee who he worked with in St. George. Shilee planned an amazing birthday surprise and he was also very surprised when his family from the East Coast showed up and then Dallas and I and a bunch of his other friends. We had a great time. We spent the nights with them and the days shopping, gambling, browsing, and eating (orlack there of for myself) All and all we had an amazing trip and can not wait to go again.Isis stayed home this trip and Aunt Tricia and Uncle Bobby took great care of their niece! Love to all.

I received our new artificial tree today and set it up immediately.It is absolutely beautiful and the picture doesn't do it any justice! My dad will be proud, all the balls went on the bottom, it is perfectly decorated, and the I fluffed the branches just right! Isis is already enjoying sleeping under it! I hate when people are late, Im always early or right on time.
*I love Isis and treat her like a 2 year old.

I miss my parents, my house, snick, big baby, my family, friends, and my bed!!!

*I am the biggest organizer you will ever meet.
I do not abide by speed limits, EVER and have never met such law abiding citizens like I have in Utah.

*I have perfected the art of sneaking in shopping bags/removing tags/stashing in backs of closets/saying "what, this old thing?" (perfectly stated Becca!)
*I love the smell of my parents linen closet!

I love fresh sheets, cold pillows, and new socks.
*I love the sound of the pouring rain.
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and I absolutely love decorating for it.

*I'm a shopaholic, ahh finally admitted it.

I can not stand when people hum in public.

*I hate slow walkers or people who stop dead in their tracks.

I will only use a towel once and then I have to put it in the hamper.

*Im extremely anal retentive.

I have been to Disney World over 30 times.

*I know all of the words to over 50 different movies (lame lol but fun!)

Dallas, Isis, and I traveled to Price for Thanksgiving. Isis wasn't too bad the car ride down but I dont think her tummy felt well on the ride home. We had a great couple of days with Dallas' family and friends. Wednesday night we went to Silver and met up with a bunch of his friends. I hung out with Sarah, Lindsey, April, Jennie, and a bunch of other great girls, we had such a great time! Thursday we ventured over to Dal's mom for a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner, she really is an amazing cook! After dinner we played Apples to Apples and had some great laughs. We also celebrated Dallas' youngest brother ALex's birthday on Thanksgiving! We came back to the city on Friday and Dal's brother Giles and his girlfriend Toni also came along to spend the rest of the weekend with us! Hope everyone had an amazing holiday. We missed you all back home very much, especially me! Love to all! xoxo!

Update on our Isis. She is a very curious kitty and loves to be where we are. This morning Dallas got up @ 530am for work. She was running up and down the stairs, then back and forth back and forth. When one of us leaves she cries at the door til the other yells down to her and then she comes right up to find us. I swear she talks to us, she has the funniest meows. She plays with everything, even things that are inanimate and of no concern to anyone but her. Her favorite toy is paper! And we love playing with it with her! She is a riot. The other day she got so excited over the paper she was actually doing forward rolls! I love her to pieces and we are so happy to have gotten her.

New Addition to our Family!

Well Im pretty excited. Our little family is growing! Today we bought our first pet. She is a siamese kitten and her name is Isis. I think the name suits her as she has the blue-est eyes ever, "icey". Isis was a goddess in Ancient Egyptian religious beliefs, whose worship was adopted by other ancient cultures such as Rome. She was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife, patron of nature and magic.The goddess Isis was the first daughter of Geb, god of the Earth, and Nut, the goddess of the Overarching Sky, and was born on the fourth intercalary day.Isis also is known as the goddess of simplicity, from whom all beginnings arose, and was the Lady of bread, of beer, and of green fields. In later myths, Ancient Egyptians believed that the Nile River flooded every year because of her tears of sorrow for her dead husband, Osiris, relived each year in rituals. The worship of Isis eventually spread throughout the Graeco-Roman world, continuing until the eventual abandonment of paganism in the Christian era.

Ok so I thought that was pretty interesting. She sure is quite the curious kitten! She is 5 months old and adjusting quite well. I brought her home and showed her straight to her kitty litter box. Then I decided we would walk through each room. Well she just loved our upstairs bathroom. Im not sure why but just about 5 minutes ago I found her sprawled out on the floor up there. But when we first entered she went right for the toilet. Pretty funny her paws kept slipping on the toilet seat and then she decided she wanted to climb some more thats when she almost fell in because she used the lid to boost her up and that didnt work out so well seeing that it she closed the lid and it pulled her down with it!

I was cleaning the kitchen and she wanted to be part of it all. In the dish washer, in the cabinets, on the laundry, anywhere I was, there she was! I love her already! Im very excited! She also reminds me of Snicky B. And I do miss her very much, so this is going to help. Not to mention I have been dying for a pet! Love to all!

What we have been up to...

Dallas and I are definately enjoying the company of eachother and it feels great to finally be together, instead of on the phone all the time!

I started my job at the University of Utah hospital and I am enjoying it VERY much! The people and the hospital are amazing! Im going to be working the next 9 days and then I will be starting my normal shift of four 10 hour shifts friday-monday!

Dallas is also keeping busy at Fed Ex and is definately tired by the time Friday rolls around. He goes to bed around 8pm and gets up around 130am! (sunday-thursday) The good thing about his shift is that he is usually out around noon.

We are looking into getting a puppy!! Im really hoping everything works out. One of the radiology students at my job has a lab who hopefully had her lab puppies over the weekend, I told her to count us in for one of the puppers!

As for the new vehicles, they are amazing and we are enjoying those as well!!

Dallas and I got new cars yay yay yay!! I leased the 2009 Nissan Murano and Dallas bought the New 4 dr Nissan Titan!! We are very excited! And definately a big step for my new adventure! And our new chapter in life!

Salt Lake City or Bust!

Today is the day I move to Salt Lake City, Utah! It is very exciting to be taking on a new adventure. It will be weird at first seeing that I was born and raised in Connecticut and I will always be a Connecticut girl at heart. I am ready for the move and ready to be with Dallas all the time. I will miss my family and friends so much! But we will be back to visit and our door is always open to family and friends! So make sure you all visit!

Lake George, New York (9/4-9/7)

This past weekend my family headed to Lake George, New York for the annual Adirondack Nationals Car show. Our family and friends from all over attend this event and we have a blast every year. Even though it means that summer is coming to an end and fall is here. It sure didn't feel like that when we were roasting in 97 degree weather! The long weekend was eventful but nothing will top the fact that my dad locked the BMW keys in the trunk of the car and we have to drive half way home to meet a friend to give us the keys to drive all the way back to Lake George to get them out of the trunk.... and Triple AAA couldnt get the doors unlocked. Unreal but a life lesson for sure.

While I was in Lake George, Dallas met up with his good friend Frankie and they went Bow hunting in the mountains... they didnt kill anything... THANK GOD!

This past weekend we celebrated my grandfather's 92nd birthday! Most of the family was there and we even had a surprise visitor from Maine! Which my dad totally called, and he was right. We all had a great time and it is always fun being with the family. I took a few pictures but I am awaiting the pictures from my Uncle, which is probably endless amounts. Because we had to do each family, the children, the grand children, great grand children, great great grand children, the whole family, all boys, all girls.. and ya know what I mean! Ha! Ha! Meagan had her surgery today. She came home around 4pm and has been resting but also trying to walk around to free the trapped air in her abdomen, which can cause a lot of discomfort. The best boyfriend in the world sent her flowers for her recovery. And she also came home to balloons in her driveway from my very good friend Andrea. Thanks for everyones love and support. It truly means so much to me. We will keep everyone posted.

The Weekend.

While Dallas and I are in seperate states we continue to have pretty busy lives. This weekend Dallas went to visit his family in price. A normal 90 minute ride to get there took him 5 hours! There was a mudslide in the canyon, which delayed his arrival. After finally arriving he spent a nice weekend with his brothers and mom.

As for me, I had a special Scentsy open house this weekend. I sold all of my items that I had on hand so I don't have to ship them out to Utah. I will order more items for stock when I get out there. I also babysat the boys. We played card games, movies, and of course we watched the olympics because I'm obsessed. And of course Zoe (their Great dane) stayed by my side the entire night. She is getting so big(the picture is her when she was a pup). I can't wait for Dal and I to get a great dane of our own! Today is also the first day of my 2 day pre-op clear liquid diet. And I'm sure you can all guess how much fun this has been!

Hey all! I have decided to start a blog. Seeing that you can't keep in touch with everyone all the time. And I thought it would be a great idea seeing that I'm going to be moving out to Utah in about a month, it is a great way for family and friends from all around to keep in touch and up to date with things going on in eachothers lives.
